Mr Ian Horak

Victorian Bar

Ian Horak is a barrister at the Victorian Bar practising in intellectual property law. He has advised on and appeared in proceedings in relation to a wide variety of subject matter concerning patents, trade marks, registered designs, confidential information, copyright and trade practices. Prior to being called to the bar, Ian worked as a solicitor and patent & trade marks attorney. He remains a registered patent & trade marks attorney and in addition to his legal qualifications, he holds a first class honours degree in chemical engineering. Ian is also the chairperson of the Victorian and a member of the Transnational Committees of Management of the Intellectual Property Society (IPSANZ).  He is also a member of the Institute of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys (IPTA).
