Mr Raymond Hind

Raymond Hind is an Honorary Associate of the Monash Law School. He joined Davies Collison Cave in 1982 and is currently a senior partner with their engineering group, with extensive experience in the area of patents and registered designs. Ray has worked extensively for both corporate and private practice in Australia and the United Kingdom and is recognised as an authority on European and Australian patent law. Ray is a past president of the International Association for the Protection of Industrial Property (AIPPI) (Australian group) and was chair of the organising committee for the AIPPI Congress in 2001. As well as being a member of the advisory panel for the intellectual property law specialization and a course consultant to the units Patents for inventions and Designs law and practice, Ray has been a lecturer at the Academy of the Institute of Patent Attorneys and a past consultant to the Australian Law Reform Commission on design law. Ray has also lectured on patents and intellectual property law for various industry bodies.
