Sir John Monash Medal for Outstanding AchievementThe Sir John Monash Medal for Outstanding Achievement is awarded to a student who has completed the academic requirements for the degree of Bachelor of Laws in 2009 and is eligible to graduate and is judged to have an excellent academic record and to have demonstrated a significant commitment, while at Monash, to advancing the University's goals of social justice, human rights and a sustainable environment. Benefits and Number of AwardsOne Sir John Monash Medal is awarded to one LLB student per year. The medal will be proclaimed at the faculty prizes ceremony and their graduation ceremony, and awarded at the graduation ceremony. The award will also be included on official University transcripts. Past WinnersThe medal was first awarded in 2009, for a student completing in 2008. The winner for 2008-09 was Mr Hugh Evans.
