Transfer into Law from another Monash undergraduate degreeInternal transfers offer another pathway into law for undergraduate Monash students. If you are studying for another degree at Monash and performing well, you may be able to transfer into the first year of law. This is an achievable option for students who don’t meet the entry requirements first time round. Entry requirementsTo be eligible for an internal transfer into law, students must have:

Entry to law courses via internal transfer is a very competitive process and the actual average required depends on the number and standard of applications received each year. Bachelor of Laws and associated double degrees How to applyCompleted applications must be submitted by mail or in person to: Student & Academic Services The closing date is October 31, 2009 (although LATE applications will be received until November 30th) An email confirming receipt will be sent to your student email account within three working days. All sections of the application form must be completed accurately and returned to Law Student Services. You must give us a transcript of results (ENTER, VCE or equivalent Year 12) that has been certified as being a true copy of the original transcript. To do this, bring in your original transcript and a copy and a Student Services officer will certify it on the spot, or take your original and copy to an acceptable signatory for certification. Double degrees: For those who want to continue with a double degree, but wish to change the non-law degree (eg. change from BA to BCom/LLB), it is your responsibility to ensure you have met the prerequisites for the non-law component of the degree and provide confirmatory evidence in the form of certified copies of academic transcripts. (Information about prerequisites for courses can be obtained from the current VTAC Guide.) Note 1: Provision of incorrect details or withholding relevant information relating to your application may result in withdrawal of an offer or cancellation of enrolment at any stage of the course. |
